Credit Agricole 5€ cash ATM withdrawal fee

I’m in France and noticed that Credit Agricole ATMs charge 5€ per transaction. I’ve tried other banks and none have charged.
Avoid Credit Agricole and save yourself 5€!

We found that earlier in the year, didn’t use to charge.

All the ones in Croatia charge that we found. Seems fair enough why should their customers subsidise me getting holiday cash out they obviously can't be run for free

Depends on how they operate. I think it would make perfect sense to give higher interest on current accounts especially ones significantly in credit then charge for the services used depending on how expensive they are to provide. Very low charges for online transactions more for cheques and in branch most for cash machines and overdrafts.

Yes, we use a UK (Caxton FX) card.

I had the same problem earlier in the year with CA. I used a FairFx card followed by a CaxtonFX card. A 2 minute walk to the Post Office ATM and the cash was all mine without a charge.
