Cracked Shower Tray

Just noticed a crack in my shower base can someone recommend a repairer im based in Stockport

Google speedcoat in your area. They come out and fix damage and re coat the tray

What kind of van have you got? Just wondering if it’s a common fault.

Speedcoat sorted out our cracked tray last year and we are very happy with the result

Tootal towbars on Stoke repaired mine a few years ago made an excellent job

Its a Burstener ixeo time i just hope water not affected the floor luckily its at the high end so doesn’t get all the water and we dont use all the time

Not far up the road in Preston is OneCall, who sorted my badly cracked shower tray out a treat - see thread on the subject https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/shower-tray-fix-speedcoat.201113/#post-3435278

The process takes 36 hours to complete, so you'd need to leave the van with them.

Another plus for Speedcoat - process took 24 hours but we were told not to let water onto it for a few days - unfortunately we accidentally did and it took some cleaning but thankfully without damage. The guy actually found another crack whilst he was prepping it but the process dealt with that area anyway so "2 for 1"!

Subsequently there have been no further problems, the Speedcoat seems to strengthen the floor. An excellent result but be warned that the finish is unlikely to be exactly the same as the original although ours was blended in nicely.

The alternative - replacement - was going to be VERY expensive, assuming we could have found one!
