Can anyone tell me what we need to do if we decide to use our ferry crossing to france then on to spain, regards covid tests? both of us have had both covid jabs, been following lots of threads of people who are in france and spain but not taken in whats needed ? thanks

do you realise you can search the forum from the blue bar at the top far right youve probably got no replies as people see it as lazy when you admit youve seen the threads .I think a lot of people are surprised by just how fast a thread on here is consigned to page 10 you can also click watch at the top of each thread if you want to keep up

Have a look on the Eurotunnel website, lots of helpful info there.

Nice post.

double jabbed = proof + "attestaion = statement of honour to enter france
nothing to enter spain except double jabbed proof if asked . no passenger form as that is only for air & sea passengers arrivals.

I can’t see the point of asking other people about stuff like this when it’s all on the official website.
The collective ‘we’ are not infallible and ‘we‘ could give the wrong info, somebody could even give the wrong info maliciously!
If you need that sort of info go to the official website And get the facts straight.

There’s a zillion threads

Agree however the one thing I would add is, it isn’t simple. The guidance is all written in officialese and has multiple if this, then that. Folks are often looking for “what happens in my circumstances?”

France is easy. Try working out what to do if you want to go into a Belgium ! Here’s a very simple flow chart in English produce by the the French.

The main caveat is the situation changes almost daily. Keep checking and then even after you’ve got help here go back to the official sources and double check.

Only just seen this thread, a lot of miserable answers, he won't ask again, I bet.
All he was asking was a few friendly questions to things he didn't understand, as in fact niether do I but I aren't thinking of going. :(

Might be a bit late now but I check the https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice website and subscribe to email updates for the relevant countries. It changes daily and this is the most upto date along with linking to the relevant pages from the French, Spanish government etc.

I've been following what's required, not that we're thinking of going just yet, but like to have an Idea of what to do...

But! Whilst entering France seems straightforward enough, coming back to the UK isn't.

Two day tests? I think I get the gist, but as OldCodger says it all in government speak, and then there's the 'official' list of suppliers that don't.

Hopefully it'll all become easier/clearer in time.

Agree totally. No wonder some people don’t post on the forum if that’s the reaction they get.
