There are a few big ones in L'Escala that we have stayed at. One is called Las Dunas and nearby is another called something like La Bellade Negra and another one is called Aquarius. All 3 are on the same road.

They are big commercial sites but not unpleasant.

Thanks. Looking for one next to the beach…preferably with a bar👍
I’ll check these out😊

They are all next to the beach and have a bar.

If they hadn’t had the latter I wouldn’t have stayed there.:giggle:

Just a word of warning - Las Dunas was all cash last time we stayed about 6 years ago. Supermarket etc didn’t take cards.

Might be different now.

Enjoy yourselves- we love that area

We stayed at Las Dunas 3 years ago. It’s a great site. Pretty sure we paid by card. And yes it is a lovely area.

Aquarius is cash only but they have a free cash dispenser. We stayed there several times, big discounts with ACSI. Stopped going when we suffered an extremely rude waitress who is probably no longer there, I don't think she was cut out for the job.

This one one is pretty much in the middle of town in L'Escala between the old town and Riells beach. We used it many years ago just before we bought a house in L'Escala (sold now) Its small and much nicer than the other campsites in Montgo etc. I'd say its 5 mins to beach, had a bar, but prob 2 mins to other bars/restraunts

La Sirena Estartit
Gate opens onto beach
Supermarket at front and back gates
Pool, bar and restaurant

Moving onto the south of Barcelona in 5 days! What is the best site with access to train or bus to Barcelona. Currently at Camping La Plmeras and enjoying it!

Presently at Camping Aquarius at Sant Pere Pescador great site but busy and they do now take credit/debit cards. I would check ahead some the the sites will be closing in the next few days. Aquarius is next to the beach just a few minutes walk away, site has a bar, restaurant, supermarket and other amenities but no pool.
