We arrived at the site adjacent to EVB this afternoon to be greeted by very nice Wardens Steve and his wife. What a warm welcome. It’s a lovely, quiet very well kept site.
We are only here until Wednesday morning as we have the MH booked in tomorrow with Eddie Van Bitz at 10am to have the alarm looked at then we will be on our way to Stourhead CL.
This is definitely a site that we will revisit.
Tomorrow we will be going into Taunton for the day while the alarm is being sorted out.
Never been to Taunton before - hope it’s ok!!

When we visited EVB at Cornish Farm we walked in and found a great cafe in the park close to the centre.

The wisteria might just be still out on the front of the hotel in the centre of Taunton, but this was May 2016 when our solar panel fitted. Not much in Taunton, I think we used up time by walking back to Cornish Farm 🤣

Taunton like most towns has nothing to offer at present. Nice walks along river Tone.

forty five minute walk into town. Bus no 6 takes you on a circular route runs every half hour leaves town 10 to and 20 past hour.about 20 mins into town and 10 mins back to site. Two wetherspoons Perkin Warbeck in East Street, road just opened up after social distancing and traffic problems, the other one over the river The Coal Orchard both two mins from bus dropoff.
Not advised to drive anywhere in Taunton due to many roadworks.

Museum on Castle Green, behind big Castle Hotel,
Vivary Park nice place to sit and people watch. Usual shops ,charity, barbers, bookies, loads of coffee shops.
Give us a shout if you need help

We are there on Wednesday ready for alarm and tracker fitting Thursday.
Think Eddie mentioned something about lending me his car to save the dogs walking into town. 😁😁

Take your bicycles. Cycle path for most of the way into the Town Centre. Good canal ride towards Bridgewater once you can work out how to get onto it from the town centre (I got lost somewhere around the Cricket ground).

It’s an easy level walk into town. About 45 minutes or a 10 minute taxi (15 in traffic) Great town - a visit to the tourist office will get you maps and tourist stuff.

I'm there on the 25th for the weekend, work done on the 28th
Would you bother taking the tow car, anywhere to go worth a look or would bikes be best?

Depends how long you are staying. 2 days there’s lots to do beyond that there’s plenty of great places to visit near by when a car would be helpful. We rented one from enterprise £100 for three days.

We were there from Wednesday night till Sunday. Late arrivals no problem your number plate checks you in and opens the barrier. We only had a 400 mile round trip.

It’s a great site. Unbelievably clean, great showers etc. Check with Eddie, but Work may not be finished on the van until late in the day, though depends what you’re having done

Yeah we stayed overnight to get the alarm sorted last Thursday for a night. Alarm wiring had been damaged by a third party installing on the van before we bought it. Tidy site friendly wardens a nice walks with the dog round the orchard in the next field or a bit up the road round the racecourse.
Can't fault the guys smashing service and kept informed what was happening with the van while we waited. 👍

Well, fancy that!! Really good talking to you both earlier. Thanks for recommendations on sites up north when we go up that way.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip around the country and you never know we might bump into each other sometime on a site somewhere.
