Connecting Battery Monitor with Sargent 500 and dual batteries.

Hi Dbk.
There are 2 positives and 2 negatives coming from the 2 batteries and into the wiring loom.
On the back of the Sargent panel there are 4 wires with the same colours connecting into the socket marked Batteries. So it appears to me that the both negatives are only joined when the get into the Sargent circuits.
I hope to be corrected :)
Cut both of the negative cables (White with and Orange stripe from memory) and put the shunt in series.

Spoken to Sargent this morning and they don’t see any problem with just cutting the negative wires at the battery, connecting battery side to the shunt and reconnecting the two ends to the positive side of the shunt to go back to the EC500.
Seems straightforward now ?

Does anyone know if the NASA BM1 Bluetooth version shows the same data as the one with the external monitor and has the same logging data capabilities?
My shunt does not have a positive side to it ? As per the instructions I originally posted it's only negative cables that are joined to it. Also, The data my app displays , Andriod. (Android is free) (Apple is more comprehensive and costs a few pounds). States, battery Volts, Amps being used in both directions. Capacity remaining and hours remaining. The starter battery just shows Battery Volts.
