Can anyone recommend a compact washing machine which would suit a bathroom in a mobile home?

I.e. not a domestic 60cm model.

You guys must have them in your A class garages?!!

Thanks in advance.

Cheers James

I'm assuming you don't mean one of these (which is what we have for the van but have never used):

Cheers James

A bit of a story but I have a used one that's only 18 months old for sale at only £450 plus delivery if you are interested, otherwise new ones are in stock at the UK importer so dealers get them delivered direct for circa £900.

Someone on here used to sell special washers for vans, but he was talking of selling up a while ago, don't know if he's still in business.

Germans install quite a few Daewoo but experienced users have posted some negative comments, including mounting issues.

Read the blurb! It's supposed to be installed on brick!

Wanted a washer /dryer but we have a whirly thing (miniature clothes line) so that'll do!

Thanks for the advice think we are going for a full sized but slim depth model which fits the space and allows the shower door to open.

Many thanks

James

I fitted an earlier version of this one in my Dutch steel boat and was really good. No trouble in six years use.

Thirteen metres of airconditioned bliss. Kept it near Montpellier for eight years, sold it and bought a Hymer Starline 640 and went to Croatia via Portugal. Now tugging!

I looked at these but 50cm wide, just too tight to fit in the wardrobes but would have been my choice. The Euronova at 46cm is just OK with some wiggle room too.

Will lose a couple of deep drawers but there's only two of us +2 woofers. Drawers were full of tat anyway!

With conventional front loaders its the width that is the issue, not depth or height so much, in motorhomes anyway. Check out door jam removal etc, also ease of access to fresh water feed and drainage connection to grey tank, plus not forgetting power. You cannot just stand it on its feet, you need to remove them and use the threaded inserts to bolt it to the floor, you cannot have 60kg loose in a cupboard it will break out of the furniture with the G force of a collision and kill you, therefore access to the subfloor with a wrench is required or maybe, as I did once to great effect, use engine mounts. All issues to overcome with a plan. Good luck.

Also getting it in and out of the door can be a test. I used a Genie lift recently which has forks just the right size and I could load the machine right through the entrance door with the steps up and slide it onto the motorhome floor almost single handed. There are several options out there to hire.
