Does anyone tow with a comformatic gearbox is so do you have to turn anything off.

Just towed for the first time, everytime I corner the breaks come on fine when not towing.

As per #5. Electric or overrun braking on the car? Do you mean the car brakes on bends or the van?

What A frame system? Experts here may be able to help with more info

Not sure to be honest, first noticed problem on roundabouts with a loss of power, then coming home today when cornering it applied rge breaks quite heavily causing them to squeel, I've only done 8 k miles and this was the first trip towing.

The a frame is a TAF brand new, and we are towing a fiat 500

Same system as ours. Could be that the overrun cable could be a bit tight although I fail to see how that would affect cornering. Is the break-away cable pulling on the overrun cable?

When we had ours fitted the overrun cable had to be slackened of a tad because it was quite sensitive to the angle of the car, A frame and tow ball. Been fine ever since.

If the car is braking too much the wheel hubs will get warm. Check that out next time.

We tow but with a manual system from TAF. No problems, other than the already sluggish gear changes are even more sluggish, and we are getting 27 mpg rather than the 30 we got before. But…. we are in Scotland so mpg may get better in flatter areas, and I address the speed issue by stopping more often to let others past. We are on holiday so not in any hurry.
We have not had any of the problems mentioned by the OP.
