The Combi boilers have a less 12V battery draining computer type fan to blow the hot air around.
The earlier Truma boiler fans quickly drain the 12V battery.
So the newer boilers are better off grid.
In My opinion and experience of working away and being cold in the van by Thursday evening.
i cant see any issue provided you have the space as the combi probably takes up more space, and you have enough DIY knowledge and skills / know how to make the gas fitting changes ( including pressure test and flue check ), the mains electrical changes, the controller panel location and the thermostat. the water pipes will be simple enough.
