If someone can show me a link to a battery operated genuine Aeropress then I will understand but as far as I understand it there isn’t one. The beauty of it is that it is simple, even the travel one needs you to provide your own hot water, one of my sons has one.

I do apologize because, as always you were right not to believe me, the article I read was in MMM May magazine for the New, E-PRESSO PLUS from Amazon.

It has mains or USB rechargeable batteries for heating the water and silent in operation. Just pore water in the tank, then add ground coffee OR a Nespresso capsule (a BIG plus as it saves dregs and Kannon Fodda experience) in the base and it will supply between 40-80ml.

Spares are available and it costs £ £134 according to MMM.

PS. IMO Only one name wrong after reading an article about something I'm not interested in, because of the price, a fortnight ago, is not bad in my opinion, not that my opinion is worth much in yours.

I’ve attached photographic evidence :giggle: , given to me by precious daughter one Christmas!

As you can see I do take my coffee seriously. It’s no laughing matter. Short mugs are definitely better and safer with an Aeropress. Your link is interesting and I reckon some coffee nuts would pay that. When you think how much a takeaway coffee is from a fancy pants shop is nowadays you’d soon cover it.

It's not in my place to say it BUT, with your addiction, perhaps you should see a Doctor?

Isn't too much Coffee supposed to be bad for you?

PS. The mugs inscriptions interesting, I wonder who gave you that?

I hate coffee. Even the smell is migraine inducing.

That was my point, the mug was given to me by my daughter!

That does look interesting, especially when lidl's sometimes do special deals with capsules.

I wouldn't bother with a battery one. We've had two, now we are spending a shed load of money on Lithium and an Inverter for a small Nespresso.

The battery can only heat a few espressos. It takes a lot of energy to heat water.

You can use hot water, in that case the battery lasts ages, pushing the water through takes much less power.

We had a Nowpresso; the grid thing which the nespresso pod is pressed against to burst, bowed and cracked. The company wouldn't supply a replacement part.

Two Wacacos; one failed and was replaced, casing started to split on the replacement.

Maybe the Nowpresso would be OK if not using a capsule. We used to get Illy ESE pods, they might work better.

But use a kettle for the water .

According to the article I quoted in MMM, E-Presso Plus spares are nationally available, as they all seem very similar, couldn't you get spares from them?

Not for our Nowpresso, seems to be US oriented.

There's quite a few cheaper machines available from China which might last just as long.

Join the club, not as bad as putting orange juice on your cereals. 🤣
Or putting your tea bag in the jug of milk instead of the mug!!! :giggle:

Or one that hubby did a few years ago, getting out from the freezer a couple of pieces of pie to go with the mash & veg then serving it up only to find it was full of apple!

I once drop a 5ltr can of red emulsion in Homebase, they replaced it, the stain on the floor lasted longer than the paint on our walls
Red emulsion ... any pampas grass or pineapples? :blusher:

Can you contact the material manufacturers and ask their advice? I used a fabric cleaner on a chair and the colour changed.
