we don’t normally use campsites and we rarely submit reviews, however, we have found, what is probably the nicest CL that we have ever visited.

It is Barn Owl Meadow CL,
New Delight Road, Rickinghall, Diss, Suffolk, IP22 1LX

The owners are motorhomers themselves and very friendly.

It is situated on a farm and has only been open since July, has 5 large level gravelled pitches with electric, water and grey water drains at each pitch and a toilet block that tempted us out of our own shower. It consists of two large self contained bathrooms with underfloor heating, separate toilet and washing up rooms and a small library of books.
The owners daughter has a shop nearby selling locally produced meat and there is a freezer full of this meat that you can buy from the owners

There is a motorhome drain point, toilet emptying ( standard raised drain) and dog wash at the entrance. The main site is behind a barrier.

There is a dog walk around a 15 acre field, currently full of sheep and you can often see deer in nearby fields.

Well worth a visit if you like quiet dark sites away from civilisation

Are there any pubs, restaurants nearby that noticed or tried?

There is a nearby village, Finningham, about 3 miles away. There is a pub there, The White Horse, which is in the Brit stops guide. We will try it tomorrow and report back.
Bury St Edmunds is about 13 miles away.

Is this CL one of the big clubs or private and do they have a web site.
Cheers

Shame its only 10 mile down the road. I'd be there this weekend. Credit to the owners/

We stayed here in March, great if you have a toad.....

Nice owners and a safe secure CL

It looks very nice but you have to pay the full price when you book. That puts me off.
