Cigar box guitar another on he's come home with

OK the kids have to make a musical instrument then learn the basiciks of playing it.
I was going to give him a wash board and two thimbles.
Standing listning to trumpets frome garden hose drum sets from oil cans simbils from pot lids harps
Not a mention of guitars of any kind
We will make a guitar only thing is finding a cigar box I have a nice bit of hard wood for the neck and a old guitar for the string tenchoners
If word comes to worst I will just make a box out of thin plywood

Billy Mate! the lad can pick up a Gat from the likes of LIDL and ALDI for 30 quid or so.
Failing that there is an Aussie Fella that performs with an home made gat, should be easy to find on Google to get a pattern.
