The key will no longer operate the lock so I was unable to open the door (got in via the cab). I took the lock off and it appears to operate ok. The problem seems to be the barrel, it won't turn with the key. Getting spares for my 2004 CI is never straightforward (have to come from Italy, so I'm told). Anyone know if its just a case of fitting another barrel, or will I have to get a completely new lock? Any info will be appreciated.

many many years! since I was a kid
there are only a handful of lock manufacturers used in motorhomes so a replacement barrel is usually easily and cheaply sourced. personally I would remove the barrel and soak in a jar of petrol overnight to free off. otherwise you would end up with a different key to the door than the other lockers.

He supplied me with a new Barrel for my lock , the same # as my old one, took a few weeks, but well worth it cause I could use the same Key

Total cost under a tenner, I've used this guy several times for bits for a Ci Carioca, excellent service each time:thumb:
