not sure if they are found all over Spain but certainly popular in the Andalucia region

sprinkle on the sugar we don't have with the coffee, best breakfast ever

for those that have not yet discovered them they are are a sort of deep fried sausage shaped doughnut :D

So tasty...and so many Spanish visitors have discovered them; we always thought that a Churros stand at a Motorhome show would be a good earner :)

Similar item in South Africa called kuksisters.

Finger do-nut (bit like a yum-yum) soaked, and i mean soaked, in honey and/or golden syrup and served cold.

We usually buy some when we go to the market at Cabo near La Manga, set off next Tuesday so a week on Sunday we could be there buying them.

Churros were the staple Sunday breakfasts for us Gibraltarians when I was young. Have always loved them.
(Only like them dipped in coffee and then in a bowl of sugar... Yum!)

I love them. Even him indoors, who doesn't do sweet things, likes them.

I attempted Kouign Amann a la Great British Bake Off today. I'm ashamed to say that half the batch has already been eaten and there's only the two of us.
