Chromebook link with Galaxy a12

Any bright Funster know how to put this right.
I use the phone as a hotspot with a Chromebook laptop, I have had no problems until a couple of days ago, then it stopped working, it shows as connected with a strong signal it shows Gmail and Google pages but when I try to use them it says no Internet, click on find fault, again no Internet. What can I do

Check your phone settings and that Mobile Data set to on...?

Gotta be honest I'm not sure what the issue could be here. First thing I'd do is reset both devices and retry.

Can other devices successfully connect to your hot-spot?

Could be Three which is what Smarty runs on - is the phone okay for browsing etc on it's own? It could be that Three are working on masts in your area and if so that could seriously cause issues for you trying to use the phone as a hotspot as we've had terrible issues with ours.

No problems browsing with phone, I will try again tomorrow when I'm back in UK and use different settings.

Switch them both off and on. Always the first thing to try.
