Hi everyone
Please excuse the cheesy title but I thought it might at least get the attention of all those that know me!
Well, here we are then. Another 'life crisis' for me! After a couple of years out in the 'wilderness' of life without a 'van, me and Mrs Chox are on the lookout for another one ............. oh how we miss van life!
It has been a roller coaster couple of years involving 3 house moves, 2 new jobs, 1 (first) grandson, daughter married, and now 2nd grandson (her 1st child) due in a fortnight .........phew that's quite a lot now I read it!
I have finally (after all these years) become an airline pilot flying jets for the first time .................. and therein lies the problem .................. routine, busy, stressful and not as engaging as the flying I used to do (turbo prop air ambulance and corporate).
Sooooooooooooooooooooo, my cunning plan is to go part time (starts in August) and work 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. This will give us more time to spend with our growing family and time to have more adventures in the 'van
And before anyone asks yes I have considered retiring (again hehe!) and did indeed resign but HQ asked if I would stay and work part time and I have agreed. It will of course compromise what we can do but on the other hand I still get to fly every 2 weeks and earn some useful spending money for the other 2 weeks
I'll be posting elsewhere on the forum for some 'van advice soon.
It's good to be back
Cheers
