Chausson 757
Hi, we collect our new Chausson 757 in 2 weeks time and when we looked at it we noticed that the leather captain seats appear to have a baggy/saggy look. Is this how they should look? Thanks.

Definitely not! it could be a costly repair/replace. It will probably need new seat squabs and maybe seat covers if they are overstretched.

Thanks. I’ll mention it to the dealer although I feel a little bit embarrassed to.

Are they real leather? Our 2 Chaussons both had faux leather seats that were actually covers on top of the original Ford front seats. They were all really baggy and I have to say perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the construction. We were forever pulling and tightening them up so they didn't look like Norah Battys stockings!

They don't appear to have been fitted fully, should be picked up during the pdi.

We had a similar problem when collecting our new 530 and the dealer sorted it out.

I did find that even after this fettling, the front edge of the seat cover didn't sit right in the middle and sorted quickly with a couple of cable ties.

If you have the fabric on the upper seat and it looks a bit loose around the base of the headrest this can be tightened up by steaming with a handheld domestic steamer (Vax or similar). Thanks go to a Funster for this tip.

They look like imitation leather covers, to give perspective to make patterns, fit refit mock up and fit with 1.5mm Chrometan leather £1800.
Not cheap but possible

very poor quality pleather covers made in the far east cheaply and always a bad fit without re-tailoring
