Just started!
I suspect the charger in our Lunar Roadstar 720 may be faulty! The charger is likely to be 20 years old! I still have some checks to determine whether it is fauly before deciding what to replace it with - anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Expluginsteve (fleabay) seems able to repair all manner of older power controller and chargers.
Alternatively I did temporarily just use a decent car battery charger plugged into an onboard 240v socket and pulled the fuse on the onboard charger.

Not worth repairing that one, it's a single stage charger
That only takes the battery up to 13.8v. The battery never gets fully charged so won't last long.

If you don't want to spend loads of money on a Votronic or Victron these chargers are good value they do a 10A & 20A versions also 10% discount for C&CC members.

Unfortunately the C&CC members discount with Photonic Universe ended some time ago and now C&CC members 10% discount is with Solar Technology for this
type of equipment, and to be honest the range of what Solar Technology are offering for motorhomes, camper vans and caravans is pretty poor.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

I'm presently using Apuljack to repair the CMS-2000 system, but might look at a replacement charger. Apuljack have been very helpful.

We use a Victron solar bluetooth system so will look at their chargers.

Thinking of getting the Victron Blue Smart Charger 12v 30amp. Wonder if it'll be available at the Malvern Show this weekend!

Any comments on this charger?

I swapped out our original hab battery charger for a Victron Blue Smart IP22 20amp charger when we changed to Lithium.
It's not been used much as we have a lot of solar on the roof which keep the hab battery charged, but anything Victron is going to be good and reliable.

No personal experience but users rate them highly.
If you use EHU a lot and are keeping the van for a few years probably worth the extra expense. If you don't use EHU much I would go for a cheaper charger.
