Central Locking

The hab door on my Compactline 138 does not lock with the cab door when pressing the vehicle key button. I'm sure it used to. I notice there are two contacts low down on the hab door but I know nothing about the rest of the circuitry. Can anyone point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this problem?

This happened to us last year in France. Rang Southdowns who suggested cleaning the contacts but that did not work.

On our way home we stopped off at Southdowns, in less than 10 minutes they fixed it. Apparently a simple job, a wire had come loose.

Try pushing the bottom of the door in firmly as you operate the central locking. If it then works, try putting a packer behind the door contacts to bring them closer to the frame terminals.

I had the same problem. After removing the bottom contact there was a snapped wire.
After repairing the break all worked fine.

i regulary have the same issue, suggest you do not use abrasive / weta nd dry on the contacts it will longer term make matters worse ( been there. done that ) use electrical contact cleaner and wipe off.

Cleaning the contacts seems to have resolved it, "for now".
