Kite rest of it ok Dave?
The bit still attached to the van

Some advice from my first hand experiance. When fitting make sure the roof and in particular the sealing surface of the frame are given a going over with sanding paper and then white spirit. The mould release agaent used on mine prevented the Sikaflex from bonding to the frame and it let in water. When I gave it a good tug from above the whole frame popped out again and I could see what was wrong. Corrected and been water tight ever since.

I bought one from Ebay a couple of years ago for a friend, wasn't expensive either.

Chaina is home.

Two bags of food given to him at the temple!

The fridge was already full!

There is a production line of cooking going on now, I think it's a little fraught as the conversation is fast, loud and in Thai!

The smells are mouthwatering. :)

Last two posts are on the wrong thread! Sorry.
Really, I thought you were offering to put Shiftzz up with full room and board whilst he recovers from the distress of his loss! :xlaugh:

In our area of Portugal they are in most town squares. ( In season ). Table, little stove.................. DIG IN !! Carry one of those little salt packets, sprinkle that on them. " Castanhas / Chestnuts " They are one of Portugals big exports, aren't i the lucky one, have a tree in the orchard....... Love them, roasted, pinch of salt............Heaven.

As mentioned, if you don't need to replace the main frame, don't. It is only a case of 2 plastic pins and very easy. Refitting a full skylight means a dry day. cleaning off all old sealant and refitting with new and tightening correctly. If you go down the whole replacement route, get the w4 mastic tape

Hi.
I am sure the " Cooks " ( Ladies and gentlemen ) on the forum know how versatile the Horsechestnut is.. Over here,it is used in so many ways,i was told " Soups..?" and a wide variety of ways of padding out meals. Then i remembered " When i wer' a lad " Chestnut stuffing for the turkey. Waiting to try some Chestnut soup soon. Have a read up on the humble chestnut.

Dont mix up horse chestnuts - conkers (not edible) and sweet chestnuts (edible and gorgeous).

Hi.
Well spotted, thank you. !! ..........( Never eaten Conkers :ROFLMAO: (y) ) . Good job i don't.....COOK !! It was the sweet chestnuts i meant, while at the Porty neighbours just before Christmas, they told me all about the Chestnuts and their many uses,it was an eye opener ,never ever thought it/they were so versatile. Thanks for pointing my error out. Take care.
