Returning to a motorhome.
Having found a used awning that is both the right size and in lovely condition, I am now fitting it. The instructions say remove it when driving, which seems to be a bit of a faff, to say the least. Does anyone with one of these awnings remove it to travel?

I presume this is the awning in a bag, we had them on caravans in the past and always travelled with them in the awning rail. There are small screw in stops to stop the bag moving and we put a few pieces of stick on velcro on the bag and side of the van to stop it flapping.

Had one on a caravan once and always left it on, too awkward to take off and to put it on you need a big pair of steps.

Make sure you put it in the bag before travel. ::bigsmile:

Thanks all, that'll do. Just what I was hoping.

Had one on my van for two years now..I find its brilliant and feels more secure when out than wind outs.Very easy to erect once you are used to it.BUSBY.

Like others we had one for quite a while on our last caravan and always traveled with it on.
When we changed to a MoHo just over 10 years ago we sold it to tugger friends.
They are still using it and leave it fitted on their extensive travels.
