Hiya funsters, has anyone purchased the above satnav and had mis-readings of speed limits ie...mine is identifying 60 mph when I'm in a 30mph area!! This is just one example,so we have to disregard the info displayed obviously someone will suggest updating the satnav but having already done this 3 times, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue 🤔

If you have updated to the latest map it's most likely that the limit has been changed since the last map was updated or there are two roads close together and it's picking the wrong limit up. I suspect you're stuck with it. Ours sometimes does the same although it is a chinese cheapy.

It does happen occasionally with the Avtex but no more than I experience with Google maps when in the car .

Yes I would have suggested getting the latest update also, using The Garmin Express App on the PC, not that there is anything "Express" about it, it can take hours on ours, I even had to add more memory to get the full update for the EU.
You could also try giving Garmin a call, I did years ago, and there were very helpful, but I would have to google the customer care contact number.
Good Luck.

If l bought cheap l would accept inaccuracies, but £350 shouldn't be causing any problems!!

I have found the occasional difference but the accuracy must depend on how frequently the Garmin data is received from highways or whatever the source and updated to the unit. I’m sure the navigator itself is not the problem.
A case in point I remember a few years back when driving in an area where major roadworks had been completed and the Garmin indicated that I was driving in the middle of fields.

I bought cheap partly because I wasn't convinced expensive would be a lot better.
