yep the bit inbetween the cab and the caravan thats for your outside loo its a must have

a third wheel under the cab and you could be DEL-BOY as well

Carlight that's the Rolls Royce of caravans

yip.. heavy well made made vans.. IIRC they came with with cut glass glasses and matching crockery ..

and on the Rolls Royce of chassis

Carlight were the cream of caravans at the time, and I love the retro Merc cab. :xThumb:

I dread to think what the payload on that would be. I had a Carlight years ago and my Rover P5 struggled to tow it. Good trailer though.

Always had a soft spot for the old Carlightsx:-)

I may be wrong but I think I read somewhere that Carlight has been reborn

Just asked my dad and he can remember it going through the works!

We also produced a few coachbuilts on Vito chassis's when I was there, 1990/ 91 if I remember correctly

I now own the Mercedes 306d Carlight Motor Caravan shown above. I am particularly interested in Andy`s comment because I am trying to ascertain how many of these were built and how many still exist. Any help would be much appreciated.
