A quick review:
Feb 2019. Wife visits doc. Doc checks blood preesure, finds atrial fibrillation, BP 195/140, rushed to hospital under bluelights. Week in ITU, then 3 weeks in general ward.
May 2019. Wife gets all clear from doc. MH to Spain, great time in Calpe. After a week, wife feels ill, visited by local doc, says severe dehydration, after 4 days no better rushed to IMED Hospital in Benidorm, severe kidney infection, blood poisoning, blood pressure, septicemia, etc. A week in itu on fluid drips, antibotics, drugs. after nearly 4 weeks flown home with emergency nurse carrying oxygen.
Oct 2019, wifes birthday, late afternoon wife feels faint and unwell. Late evening wife cannot breathe, rushed to ED ITU, Heart problems, very low blood sats. 3 weeks in hospital.
Jan 2020. Wife has pain in stomach. Various tests, sees consultant. Gall stones. However ultrasound and CT show unknown fracture at T2 high on spine. Pain killers. also blood test shows "liver abnormallity". Reduce alcohol intake.
Oct 2020, Wife has severe pain close to base of spine, can hardly walk, sleeps sitting up in chair, xrays etc compressed fractures at L3,4,5. Morphine patches.
Nov 2020, Wife diagnosed with damaged sacroilliac joint in spine, stronger patches. Starts visits to Ortho clinic at Royal Liverpool. Local doctor unsexpectedly sends wife for blood tests. Problems with liver
Jan 2021, Various diagnostic tests at Aintree Hospital. Told lump on liver.
21st Jan 2021. Storm Christolph. House flooded to depth of 30cm with sewage laden water. Temporary hotels.
5th Feb 2021. moved into 6 month rental. House derelict.
6th feb 2021. Confirmed cancer!
19th May 2021. Cancer removed by keyhole surgery. Complications of low blood pressure.
26th May 2021. I visit at 15.00. Told wife can leave. 16.00 doc visits, tells wife she has super bug infection in blood. Antibiotics
1st Jun 2021. Still on strong antibiotics. Doc sends wife for tests on heart. No mention of when she can come home.
I dread getting "private number" calls on mobile, always bad news.
