I think if am going to get round staying in the sun for longer than 90days by popping over to Morocco for a month I know some of you have been is it ok there .

You'll need to stay there for longer than a month to get round the Schengen 90/180 day ruling!

And a month is a very short time for visiting Morocco because it is a vast country and you need to drive quite a long way South to get to the good weather and places worth seeing/staying.
It is a wonderful country, lovely friendly people and very safe. Just dont expect all campsites to be of a good European standard. You will use the facilities in your own van most of the time.
See the Morocco 201x threads for heaps of useful information.

When are you planning to go? Just now getting into the summer season and it gets "rather warm".

Most Funsters go in December - March, their winter but more like summer to us Brits..and French..and Swedish

As Mike says, standards can be, well, variable although this year we noticed quite a few new sites, well up to European standards.

A month is good amount of time to get a feel for the great country, enjoy

What 90 days..?

Schengen visa rules!

Despite of the EC’s confirmation, it is still unknown what will happen between leaving the EU and January 1, 2021. If the EU decides to apply to UK nationals the same norms that are applied to the rest of visa-exempt third-country nationals, then Britons will be able to keep traveling visa-free until the ETIAS becomes operational.

On the other hand, this means that UK nationals will most probably have to follow the same path as the rest of third world citizens when it comes to visiting the EU for stays longer than three months.

If the deal is eventually approved by parliament, there will be a transition period and British people will continue to be able to go to Europe without a visa until the implementation of ETIAS in 2021. However, there is also the posibility of the UK leaving the EU without a deal which could make it more complicated for British people to travel to the continent.

So your looking to extend your winter sun by popping over to Morocco allowing you to be out of UK for more than 90 days which would be the problem if you just stayed in Spain.

You might consider Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City(??), Croatia, Romania, Cyprus although parking and sun could be an issue:D2

Yes we would like to go to Spain for two months and pop over to Morocco for 1/2 months and back to Spain for the last month. I’m fed up with our weather in the Uk .

To be strictly accurate Monaco is a separate country, so the answer is no. However they are so closely aligned that it actually makes little difference.

I believe it is not in the Schengen zone.

Iv looked at Monica and it doesn’t look like they have a camping site there . It’s very small. But if anyone has been and knows different I would like to know. Cheers for your info
