Hi guys, looking for suggestions for a campsite on the Atlantic coast, we are going early august, have been looking at the St Gilles en Croix de Vie area, but open to advice from seasoned travellers
There will be 4 of us, me, the Mrs, our daughters aged 16 & 10
Young one loves a swmiming pool, and a beach within walking / cycling distance would be good
Looking to sample the local cuisine, and wines, so close to local life would be nice too!
Tell me your thoughts............

The Ile de Re would meet all your requirements I think. Lovely campsites, little towns etc. And good for cycling.

If you go a bit further down to the Gironde peninsula there are lots of campsites. Miles of cycle paths in the forests well marked linking resorts and villages. There are lakes with beaches for paddling/swimming as well as the Atlantic coast. Lacanau Ocean and Biscarosse come to mind but there are many others.
