We have to attend 2 graduation ceremonies in Manchester in July. They are a week apart. We will be in the MH. We would like to stay over in the city but are not sure where we could leave the van.

Anyone know of a secure storage location or any kind funster have room for a 7m carado for 2 seperate nights.

Only option so far is to book into campsite at Greenfield and not stay in it.

I was thinking that you may have to stay outside of Manchester and catch the train in.
Then I got curious to see if there were any sites within close proximity and found one called Manchester Sun & Air Society.
It has a 10/10 review.
I thought that would be ideal for you......
And then I noticed that it was a naturist site.

Well at least you'd only be holing the van up during the stay!

East of Manchester New Mills Marina. Railway Station next door and great walks. North of Manchester Burrs Country Park. Bus to town and Metro into Manchester.

Thank you. I'll have a look at that.

Burrs Country Park (Bury) CAMC. Lovely location, shortish walk into Bury (or bus ride) then the Metro into the centre of Manchester

This one at Rainford, St Helens is right across road from station. But you would need to ask site if train goes direct to Manchester.. as I don't know. Would suspect it does.

The site has small restaurant/cafe.

We usually stay in Poynton when we’re back over, Elm Beds i think it’s called. Cheap and cheerful site with a nice location.

New Mills has two stations. One (Newtown) next to the Marina and the other (Central) the side of the valley - short but steep walk. Marina site is OK as a CL with facilities. There is another CL at Strines near a station but the trains don't stop as frequent and it's a few miles walk from Strines to New Mills Central Station. Ignore the bus routes to Manchester from New Mills.

I have a business just off j7 m62 that you would drive past gpat
It is on a secured industrial estate where the gate automatically closes at night and you need codes to get in. My staff work nightshift there too which gives a bit extra security.
It is outside parking but is secure outside one of my units (I sometimes sleep in my van there myself. 😅)

If any good you are quite welcome
