Looking on the camping in the forest site, you can't book online if you are longer than 8m.
Anyone know whether this is a hard restriction, or are they more open if you phone them?
I'm 8.6m btw.

Cheers,

Steve

Went to Sethorns forest site in the New Forest and pitches were large we had a huge RV opposite us so maybe give them a call?

For most of their sites they don't have marked pitches so size once parked won't be the concern. Issue may be perception of maneuvers around and at entrance which may be a bit tight. And if you're vehicle is too big that it overwhelmes the neighbourhood. Some sites may also worry about weight. Often they are grass and most "roads" on site are little more than a bit of gravel. Call them, nothing to loose.

I’ve only a smallish one, so cant help you,,but there are funsters here who have whoppers,,I’m sure someone will be along to advise👍

We are about 12m & have stayed at Postern Hill (Marlborough) a few times. The Warden (Rob) and his wife have always been very accommodating.

Just remembered I booked x6 RV’s into Holmsley without issue & lots of space too.

Arthur

We worked at Ashurst for a few seasons and they would allow the odd biggie on but you would need to book direct as sometimes the weather would mean only certain spots would be suitable.

Although people pitch where they like if it was a big unit we would cone off a bit off space on firm ground.

I suppose the weight would be a huge factor.

Thanks all, great advice. Cheers.
