Camping in FYR Macedonia - Best campsite (1 Viewer)

We camped at CAMPING SUNRISE, a small family run campsite on the lake in Stroga, Macedonia.

We can't recommend it highly enough.
We got a wonderful welcome and was invited to have a welcome drink on the house.
In the morning greeted with a cheerful good morning and coffee and biscuits brought to the camper (on house).
The location is fantastic and the campsite very clean, although toilet and showers a little primitive, but loads of hot water.
Free use of canoe and pedalo boats on the lake and free wifi - cost only 10 euros for 2 people, motorhome and electrics.

The trout served in the evening was delicious, as is the local beer and wine. Excellent english spoken.

We will certainly be returning.

Great to hear that the site is doing well we were treated with the same hospitality 2 years ago when it first opened also treated to 2 lovely local pizza cooked by Meddi's wife.
Is the hotel/ apartments open now? As they were nearly ready when we visited, hope to return to Macedonia next year.
