3 years 30,000 miles UK and Europe.. Campsites and off Grid.
Worth getting? A little confused about what you get for it.

I think the key advantage is being able to book a pitch for that night. We added it to our account recently as we were near the coast and sites were fairly full. In the end we didn’t have to book anywhere.
Still we have it for the rest of the year… we’ll be back.

May also be useful if you want to take the van off the CCP - that wouldn’t bother us tbh, we rarely move the van.
We’re in France at present - considered buying the Pack’Privileges before we came, but decided to suck it & see - after all, you can add it virtually instantaneously.

I was a little confused as it seems to suggest you needed it to book in advance. However it seems you can book in advance without it just not in the immediate next 2 days. - so I assume it's just the immediate booking that is the benefit???

Having just read their leaflet that does seem to be the privilege you are buying into.

They are starting to rack up the prices now, bit for this ,bit for that.
They are slowly going to ruin normal Aires.
Don’t despair, there are still lots of normal aires around, this trip the majority of our overnights have been in free spots.

We have stayed at a number of new to us aires and some of them have been quite a recent set up.

We use them and like the way you can see how many places are vacant, they have a barrier to keep the boy racers out, but then we park in all sorts of places some are better than others, there are still loads of Aires that are free and always be provided by the town, since we left the UK out of the 6 Aires we have stayed on, one was €3 and paid for water/ electric, 1 was free everything inclusive but you would have to keep pushing the button every hour if wanted the electric 😁, the other 4 were free but you pay for water, 😉 our next stop will be free if we can get in. 😁

So don't panic chaser it's all still out there. 👍😁
We have been at Lurcy - Levis free pay for water the last two days. 🙂 Bob.

One potential additional advantage of the pack could be the ability to leave and re-enter the aire without losing a space, particularly for PVC owners.

We stayed on an aire last week (a pay one via a machine but not a camping car park one ) which has this this facility as standard.

They also had a little information centre where you could help yourself to a small sign to mark your pitch as reserved while you went out.

We stayed on one at La Faou in Brittany. Just over 13 euro. Advertised toilets, showers and free Wifi non of which available. All grass pitches with grass long. Was not impressed and will only use again in an emergency to use up my last credit on the card.

Hi as we are driving in France later this year we have just purchased the card and 12Euros of credit.
Trying to determine if we want to purchase Park'Privileges.

From reading this thread am I correct in my understanding that the only difference between the two options are

Normal card you can book 2 days in advance.
Park'Privileges You can book more than 2 days in advance

Thanks
Paul

That's how I read it Paul. But others seem to read it the opposite way, can book less than 2 days ahead only with park privileges.
I'm more confused now.

In post #6 it seems that, with the Privilege pack, you can book at short notice but not without It. That’s how I read it.

We use Camping-Car Park regularly and have only once not been able to find a pitch on our preferred Aire.

We stayed on one in the south west last October it was just a fenced off area of a car park. Been on far better free Aires.

We used them a lot in October and November. Only once did we arrive and find it was full. Most had plenty of space. The one that was full was annoying as it said on the app it had 2 spaces but there clearly weren't.

I didn't think any of the campingcarparks had toilets and showers. I've not been in one that has. The point of them is just simple but secure camping with basics of water/waste/electric/wifi.

Free Aires with Wifi and Electric?

Yep had that quite a few times, free EHU is quite common.

This one had very modern and cleans showers and toilets
We’ve used it twice

More and more are ex Municipal Campsites, with whatever facilities were there already. We've not stayed at one that didn't have Wi-Fi, but have sometimes needed Wi-Fi booster to pick it up in the van. If there isn't EHU for every pitch, this is always clearly shown in site details, eg 50 places 40 EHU.
As I've said before and I'll keep on saying. Better a Camping Car Park than no site at all.

We like camping car parks but have never booked anywhere in France so don't reckon on paying the privilege fee.
We tend to avoid popular areas though, as not popular with me as I prefer to avoid people.

This sounds like the Argeles sur mer one. We only stayed once and there is a much nicer one nearby. We did see FLTs Park in the car park free and plug into ehu through the fence. French as usual.

Yep, our normal FLT spot a bit further up the coast still had height barriers in October.

hi guys when we started m/homing in the late nineties with our f reg hymer it was FLT'S all the way 6 m/h's later & in our seventies its comfort we like . so we use c/c/park most of the time you can look to see if there's room on the Aire at busy times all the services & they are not all just carparks even though some are in cracking spots . they have taken over a lot of French camping municipal sites & over winter they are just for m/h's . the last photo is our stops up to date

we have used this company for years now & all this is so you can reserve a spot at busy times there's no need just log on & you can check how many spots are free plus its another way to get money for you

We are heading toFrance on 1st February for 2/3 weeks. Most of our overnights will be Camping Car Parks as we like the convenience of EHU and WiFi.

We have found some that are ”only car parks” but also some superb ones. We don’t pay for the privileges card as, up to now, we have never needed it.

Maybe they paid and had gone to the shops
Is that not part of the more expensive card
Personally we use them and found them very useful especially for wifi that was good enough to run firestick
They should keep it simple use it or lose it. Leave the site lose the pitch. Simple
