Camping car aire in Brugge

For anyone who uses the camping car aire in the centre of Brugge,please be aware the overspill parking area is now permanently closed.I arrived today and the main area is now therefore very busy and at 5pm there are only 2 spots left.

Do you mean the over the road area? As that was closed when we were there a few months ago, I believe they are using the top of the coach parking now as overspill, no hook up though.

Yes that's the one. Apparently they are building a theatre on the site. The main area is supposed to be getting revamped and extended.

Just looked at the website and the overnight charge is 25 euros? Do you get hook up for that? We use Camping Memling then either bus or cycle into Brugge (10 minutes). Plus you get a fully serviced shower block and hook up and the site is gated and has security. It's 31 euros a night and well worth the extra for the peace of mind and the facilities. Plus there's a hypermarket opposite for all that Belgian beer at a fraction of the cost of the shops in the centre! The extra I spend on the O/N cost is more than made up for with Kasteel, Chouffe and St Bernardus savings!

You get hook up on the main aire, but if you end up overspill in the coach park I was told the price is the same but no hook up.

We use the great little aire in Beernam but it is more of a cycle into town especially with all that beer!
