Just received the CCC March magazine, containing a very helpful pricing guide for all sites for all seasons. Interesting to see the price differences by season but also for the hugely high demand sites v quieter locations.

We are off to Moffat soon, so for Helen and I, low season £20.30 per night less our 25% over 60’s discount, very reasonable, but we are then at Chertsey, mid season so £33.50 less our 25%, so about £25, again pretty reasonable for the location,

Priciest I can see is the Lake District in High Season, either Bowness or Keswick, £39.80.

I like that they are being very transparent with their pricing allowing people to decide whether to maintain their membership or look elsewhere, personally we like many of their sites for their location and will be using them whilst touring in low and medium season, in high a bit pricey for our taste.

If its the same guide, a downloadable document is at the bottom of the page link above. I've used the similar tables for the past few years. Whilst not totally accurate they do give a good idea as to the price that you will pay.

I knew they did such a guide, but it wasn’t with my March magazine! Have to download from their web site. It is very useful.

Nice to see a sensible post about the two big clubs for a change - normally knocking copy at its best, mostly from people who aren't members but find it irresistible to say why. Well done so far :)

Are you sure that is not the price for 'High Tide'?

The OP quoted £39.80 where did you get £19?
It's on the downloadable pricing guide 👍
It has the usual 'from' caveat but then doesn't give the actual prices so a bit useless as a guide tbh

David, It is £19.90 per person, I quoted for Helen and I, remember that’s the member price, non members pay more. Just checked Castlerigg Hall, it’s just over £40 per night so comparable, but not so handy for walking into town in Keswick.

Not too far to walk off piste via the woodlands. Always a taxi back though😀

We have just booked Keswick Site for three nights from 10th April.

Price with over 60’s reduction £117.

I wasn't aware of over 60's discount. Is there a specific way of accessing this, is it automatic or ian option at booking? Does anyone know if CAMC do this?

We signed up for ours at a site, they automatically change your status and if you have a physical card, they put a little sticker on it! After that you just do the election on your booking, instead of adults select over 60’s. It’s a decent discount, especially for 60 rather than 65 etc.

It's quite surprising they do this - I would have thought a signifacnt number of customers are over 60, if not the majority!

You have to apply for it giving proof of age at any site....they stamp your card and then subsequent cards will automatically stamped with "Age Concession"
When booking online discount automatically added when you select Adult Concession.
No.. AFAIK CAMC do not do Auld Fud Discount..

The total price in their guide would be £50.25 for 3 night prior to discount so makes the guide look a bit silly if they're actually charging £117 with a discount

Just be aware when booking age discount on line the site tends to revert to one ordinary adult. Sometimes you have to actually remove that and ensure the age discount bit is clicked.

Do you both have to be over sixty for discount ? Or just one of you. Or is discount only applied to the over Sixty person if thay makes sense.

Yes individual... If one >60.. gets auld fud rate and <60 partner pays full adult price👍👍👍

Just to clarify, the Adult Concession Reduction discount is shown on the internet booking as ACR.

I think ACR only applies in low season? Still great value though.

Have they changed it? Still says this on the website:

“If you're aged 60 or over and you’re a Club member, you could be saving a little more on your next Club Site break – an extra 25% off your pitch fees!*

The discount is valid for eligible persons only, per night in Low and Mid season.

How do I claim my Age Concession?
If you haven’t already registered for your ACR, its simple to do. On your next visit to a Club Site, show proof of age at reception along with your membership card and the team will arrange for your membership to be updated. In the meantime, just select ACR Member when booking online or ask for the rate when booking through the Service Centre.

*The 25% age concession discount is only applicable in Mid and Low season and does not apply to additional service charges (hardstanding and electric).”
