Camperstop Europe or All the Aires?

Depends on where you are going. For France I'd have All the Aires but for elsewhere I'd get Camperstop Europe.
... we have both!

France Spain and Portugal.... Have motorhome parkings on my phone...

I've use camper contact for a while now and it's great...

Just got all the Aires for the first time and they look great...

I'd have all The aires but for a fiver I'd always do camper contact (y)

France passion deserves a mention here.

The first two have always found us somewhere(y) and if you mean the green one on the third, that's a little gem.

Did you download the paid version of camper contact as this can be used without Internet?

Have stopped buying books and do as the Madcaravanners do, use apps. More information than the books and have reviews. They are regularly updated and normally have more photos. Park4night came in very handy on our last trip.

I look out of my windows as I drive and find most of the spots I use to park on that way.

As my Princess will confirm, I can find superb, off-site locations by feeling the earth's rotations under my wheels, studying cloud formations and watching butterflies' flight paths.

Once found, they go into the data base in my head...

... that's right... rarely can I ever find them again. :(

If it is a truly lovely place, I'll log it into my sat nav's favourites.

You can't automatically use it without the internet once you pay for it.

You can download maps for each country or area that can then be used offline.

Other than once just to see how it worked I've never used it like that.

I am very new to campercontact and downloaded the area maps I thought I needed before travelling. I have been so impressed with 4g coverage through out Belgium, France and Luxembourg that we have never been without internet to use them. Although I have ordered all the aires book for when we return, I have been very impressed with campercontact paid version over this past week. Took a while to get used to, but now so so easy. (y)

We are big fans of the All the Aires books. I take the point that you can't get user reviews or updates with a printed guide I bought the 'pro' version of the Camperstop app and downloaded the maps but I can't use them as my phone is not as 'smart' as it thinks it is and doesn't have the necessary gps built in.

The All the Aires guides are nicely printed and good to look through when planning a trip.

Yes it is a nicely put together book. We still have ours in the van.

The issue though is with the word "All"

They list 3562 sites in this years books according to their website.

Camper Contact list just over 4000 stopovers in France not including campsites. If you add in the campsites the number is 4974. Their list is by no means comprehensive either.

That's at least 500 aire type stopovers, almost certainly a lot more, that are missing from the books.
