Hi all, Ove the last few weeks I have been having problems trying to update the Camper Contact App. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but keep receiving a message "data update failed" Please try again. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact Camper Contact directly through the app or the website to gain help. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just tried mine on Android 7 updates OK.

If data or WiFi signal is to slow it will fall over.
Also if you have an older operating system that is no longer supported it won't update

Just tried mine.
Android and using a home fibre connection.
Failed .
Only installed in February so should be a recent version.

Will keep checking.

I had the same problem.
It was the paid version.
I totally uninstalled it. Left for a day, then reinstalled it and its fine now.

Hi, WIFI signal is strong and have been able to update previously using my mobile. The mobile is quite new so operating system should be ok. Thanks anyway

The Android app (and possibly iOS version) have had a fairly major update quite recently. The latest version is 5.5.0 I think and the layout within each entry has changed. However, it has a few bugs. The button to translate reviews is there but when I click it it tells me there are no reviews but there were some visible originally! It also isn't showing the images on my tablet but they do show on my phone.

Hi, I have cleared cache and data but still will not update. I also have the same issue of not translating reviews. I guess I'll go with it has it is for the time being and perhaps look at Park4night app. Thanks All

Check that you are still logged in..
I went into my settings and found I had been logged out, although the app looked the same. Did user and password.. BINGO updated..

It something like £6.. I only used it once on trip to Benidorm back in March. Some nice features like once you search a stopover you can go direct to Google maps and directions very easily...

Tonka - you were right! I logged in and the update went through. The app shown I had full membership even after reinstalling so I guessed I was automatically logged in. Soooo chuffed Thanks

We've been touring Europe for a couple of months. CamperContact is the app we go to first to find a site. If we want a dirty free site, Park4Nite.

Thanks - that has sorted it for me too. I guess the major update logged me out. :) You would think there would be a prompt on the homepage to log in.

It's affecting other things as well, yesterday everything was working as normal other than only showing one photo of the aire, after signing in again all OK.

I purchased full version on my old iPad before buying a new iPad , I’ve loaded the app on my new iPad , using my email address & password on my new iPad it won’t show the full version, any ideas ?

Are you on the continent ? had a similar problem when traveling around Italy, I also have camp4night which I found user friendly and I only use that now. Best of luck with it. ........not a bad idea to have a back up app.

Make sure you are logged by clicking on Accounts at the bottom of the home page then Personal information. :)

I have it installed on two devices and they both work using the same email address.

Can you see an option to buy the full version on the iPad it isn't working on?

I have 3 devices logged to the same email address and the problem I mentioned above only affected one...... Strange

I have the same problems with the app but can't log in as I never had an account. I've always just activated it by paying for the latest version directly in Google Play Store.

Ah, light bulb moment! Maybe I need to log in with my Google account?
