Another vote for Lyndon Top.
£15 per night, book online and they will email you a barrier code to let you in and out.
It is just a large field, actually a collection of fields, with no facilities other than water and toilet dump.
If you are fully self contained it’s great.

Richard.

Arrived at Lyndon Top an hour ago, cycle track 200m away and a view of the lake .

Another vote for Rutland Caravan & Camping we were there early June. Very friendly, good ablutions, flat ground with hardstanding, excellent cafe (take your own beer or wine). Good short path to the village (for pedestrians, cycles and mobility scooters) with shop and two pubs.

You may get more replies if you add "Rutland" to the title.

Hi, Is it far to the lake cycle path ?

6.8 miles
The reason for going was to cycle around the lake so doing nearly 14 miles getting there and back has just put me off.

Thanks for the information

Hi, Is it far to the lake cycle path ?

Have a look at this Google map link and it will give you an idea of how far.
The cycle track is the track near the water.

Edited my post with details of another site almost on the water.

Lyndon Top is on the cycle path! There’s a gate at the bottom of the field, or you can ride out of the site & down the small lane to the path. We did it when we were there.
