I have just send an email to CAMC regarding their exorbitant charges. I am attaching copy of the emails.

They have posted some offers on Facebook, I don’t think they were expecting the backlash they received

I actually expected the price to be higher than you quoted, I don’t think £35 inc electric is unreasonable these days, we save close to £10 / day turning down heating and not cooking at home in colder weather

Interesting to see though that the site is closing from Jan to March next year due to low bookings 🤔

I am leaving this year.

It is as simple as they aren’t competitive.

In my wisdom I joined last year and certainly won't be renewing. Commercial Sites are generally to a high standard and demonstrably better value.

Hmm, sure I've seen choices of pitch, perhaps I'm confusing with the other club, or losing it:p

Not all of it though, eh ;)
if you mean pitch prices
Grass pitches are cheaper by 50p a night
Hardstanding with awning
Hardstanding without awning - same
Extra Adult !! Why should you not be charged ?
Benefits single travellers if its per person per night

I am hoping many members who attend the NEC will visit the CAMC stand to complain about the ridiculously high fees they are now charging . Perhaps they will listen ? If they don’t I am sure many people will show their displeasure by leaving the club . Being honest , I will be one of them…..

At the last Warners show we attended I called in on CAMC. I warned them that members were getting annoyed about their prices and they said a new pricing structure was being considered eg with or without EHU etc because electric prices were astronomical. I don’t mind the deposit system in fact I’m in favour but we mainly use them for CLs these days.
They need to take this seriously or will lose many members.

Even if they offered free membership, their main site fees have priced out many longstanding members, especially in high season.
Of course there will be lower occupancy on many sites, especially now with the higher pitch fees, the January pitch blockers bookers cannot make a years worth of bookings without paying a deposit upfront. (y)

I stayed at 3 club sites recently, all priced a little high but all where I wanted to stay. All 3 were very busy so why would they care if a few members leave. I have used more certificated sites this year.

It’s not just Club sites that are expensive. We have just paid £248 for 4 nights for 4 adults on a Morris Leisure site in Llanberis next May.
We have to be there and no alternative site.

They’ve always been expensive even in the days when CAMC charged reasonable site fees. I avoid them.

We rarely stay on club sites but one exception is Abbey Wood which is so useful for London trip. I keep the membership up because on the odd occasion a couple of times a year maybe, that we really need a club site then we can use them.

I keep the Candy membership so as to be able to use their 'stop off' facility to empty tanks, fill water etc
