Hello
I have caravanned /motorhome for 30 years now. And renewing the hose to gas bottle was always regulator hose and jubilee clips.
In my m/home the gas hose is a ready made with fittings to the bottle and the inlet connector is 1 unit
As I am in Spain it creates a problem for changing so I have to decide whether to change back to regulator or get the readymade hose not bothered on cost just more for convenience being out of uk for a long time
Thanks
Keith

Last time ours was changed it came with a connecter designed to be done up by hand rather than needing a spanner
No idea how that helps you out in Spain though

You should be able to get what you need from a motorhome or caravan dealer

We have the crash protection hoses, we have one refillable bottle and just use a clip on valve on on the Spanish propano. 😁
If we can't get things from our local caravan place we use mitortuga and they post it and normally get it within two days. 🙂 Bob

Modern caravans/motorhomes don't use hose and bottle top regulator. They use bulkhead mounted regulator and a pigtail. If you have the modern system, you need to buy a new pigtail to match the new bottle. If this doesn't make sense, post a picture of what you have so we can work out what you've got.

My caravan had the best of both worlds... A bulkhead AND a bottle top.
I can only assume the bulkhead had failed and the cheapskate previous owner just fitted a bottle top.
Worked fine so never bothered with it.

I'll admit that when I had a caravan, I used a bottle top. Far more reliable and much cheaper. It was a 2006 model, so I could even get away with it in the unlikely event of an inspection (although it was clearly built originally with a bulkhead). Why did they mandate them?

Thanks for your advice

That’s a pigtail. You need one with a regulator fitting both ends as you have what looks like a crash valve fitted to the bottle
Caravan shop will have one, but if not I can’t see why a length of hose and jubilee clips onto the existing fittings would be a problem. Assuming you can cut them off.

Is it perished?

Worst case. Buy a propane to regulator hose and do away with the crash valve. Unless you want to drive with the gas on.

Hi, to use that fitting on your Calor bottle you could just get an adaptor like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14240857...d=link&campid=5338547443&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

And a valve that clips on Spanish gas bottles like this.

Or a new hose and no adapter .

As you can see my Spanish cepsa has the adaptor and same hose as yours, the Spanish Repsol and Cepsa are about the same size as a 13kg Calor bottle. 😎 Bob.
