Thank you . Sounds ideal for usWe stayed there pre pandemic to cycle on the Tissington Trail. To be honest two nights were enough. Large commercially run site, profit first and last. Negatives: no staff control of children on bikes, no parential control of children chasing round, adults with loud music and dogs not on leads. Also very poor showers: a door, a shower, a couple of pegs and a 20p coin machine, poor, just poor. May have been upgraded since. No staff on swimming pool with resultant mayhem. Overpriced shop. Difficult steep access to cycle trail downhill and then up the embankment. Definitely not "on the trail". Large static site included with "lifers". Pros: good bar and eatery although mostly chip based. Large well maintained pitches with good hedges. We have never gone back there and use other sites for cycling along the trail. Hope that helps.
The pitches there are really sloping, ok for caravan but we struggled in the Motorhome.Have a look at Washbrook farm.It has directed access to the Tissington trail.
