We have the cadac safari chef and use the above canisters to power it ,does anyone know of an alternative gas canister that can be used if we cannot get the cadac ones
Thanks for any replies

You can use any lpg canister. You just need to get the appropriate regulator to fit the gas bottle and attach to the gas hose. We have used the small patio gas bottles in the past and now use a Camping Gaz 907 bottle which lasts us more than a year.

We use these on the Cadac mini chef

We buy them from Amazon and at the time were much cheapness. I think mine were 8 for 6 deal. Amazon product ASIN B01679T6QQ

Can’t remember the ones we use . Will post a picture later . Not sure if it was my imagination but I found the cadac took longer to heat up and cook food using these canisters.

We had an external gas point fitted on the side of the motorhome, so we can just plug in the cadac. Works superbly, dead easy to use and no faffing around carrying extra cylinders or anything. Highly recommended.

The Coleman cylinders do the job for the Safari Chef. Currently cheaper as a 6 pack from Argos than on Amazon.

Use of an external gas point will depend on your having a LP Cadac. HP will use the cartridge connected direct to the Cadac or you can get a short hose with regulator that converts the HP Cartridge for use with a LP Cadac.
