Heading for Caceres in a couple of days.
The aire there looks a bit grim, does anyone have any Alternative recommendations?
Thank you 👍

Yes go to camping Caceres it’s an ACSI site so a discount you will have your own toilet and shower with all the facilities.
The aire is usually full whenever we have been there😊

Second the 'Camping Caceres'
There is a restaurant on site as well.

Used by going up folks as well as those going down the road.

Stopped over a few times at Camping Caceres, individual toilet showers, a wash bay at top left of site and a bar with some food.

Ditto above and if you have ACSI and want to loiter a bit they do 4 nights for the price of 3.

Excellent site, Kups is right the bus stop is over the bridge, the last time we stayed there the bus stopped at the site entrance at weekends
Just ask at reception and they will also give you the timetable

We stayed at that campsite a few years ago. It’s a great site with your own little bathroom pod and a short bus ride into the town itself. And the magpies were great.👍

Have stayed there a few times, at busy times worth booking in advance as the top field is the overspill and it’s very dusty and not the best with basic facilities, had to stay there one night and plenty vans entered and left without staying and was busy with vans entering right up to late hours.

Bus ride short walk away and the town is beautiful, was lucky they were filming “House of the Dragon” when we were there…..

Full Time 2011-2013, now part timers!
We stay at Camping Caceres most years & love it! If you have a dog you can get a taxi into town for €8 & reception will call it for you. We used to walk in, but although it’s a pretty walk, it’s about an hour & my legs won’t do it now!

Thanks to all for the recommendation, we are now on site and agree with all the positives.
Outside the gate is totally rammed with cars and there is loooooaaaads of noise coming from the stadium, so I guess there’s a match on!

off topic, but the parador there is great. I've stayed twice touring by motorbike.
The car park is under the swimming pool and is accessed by a lift several floors down.
In the morning, you load up, descend, wait for two doors to open, then roar out into the lower road like Batman from the bat cave.
