I have been told that the C&C club has sent out an email stating that their sites will be open from April (not told if that is early or late April) with all facilities open. Nothing on the C&C website about this. Anyone else heard that ?

I had an email this morning saying that they are working hard to open in April to be reviewed in line with the latest guidance.

On my renewal they say sites reopening with all facilities open. No date that I can see.

I have cancelled as I like the toilet facilites and CMC maintained their's last year. I will wait until CCC see that my DD has been cancelled and see then what they say about it all.

That's a weird thing to announce.

Like I'd assume that the sites would normally do cleaning and maint. this time of year ready for Spring time, so no change there then.

Does it mean they are sitting back with their feet on the table waiting for the Gov. to make a proclamation ? Is that working hard ?

I guess they're keen to get bookings and deposits. Regardless of what they say they can only open their sites when allowed to do so.

They do offer to reimburse you if they can't fulfil the booking. I had a phone call asking if I wanted the money or leave the credit on my account.

And attract bookings now from folk who may have booked elsewhere with a competitor.
Rather like the rush by supermarkets to be first to offer seasonal stuff; 'Back to school' items, Christmas food, Easter eggs, fireworks and hot cross buns.

We got the same e-mail.

Unfortunately for the C&CC we have just booked a four Sites tour with the C&MC for mid-May. They, at least, don’t require deposits with their bookings and you can cancel up to 72hrs ahead with no charge.

We currently have a “booking”, with a voucher from the C&CC for 12th March which will have to be rescheduled in order not to lose our £25 deposit. This will be the third time is has had to be changed since March 2020.

The CCC are the same as the C&MC.....MONEY MONEY MONEY.
I cancelled after nearly 24years and never heard a thing. As one leaves another joins so they are happy with that. If the term Customer Service was abolished I don't think it would make any difference to most companies.
The new excuse bandied about is Covid.

I got it and booked up a couple of nights late May. I couldn't find the 'My Bookings' page. I called and they have taken that down to update it. Would have been nice to see some info on the website about that!
