hi, this was the weekend we would make it all happen , met some of you at various shows over the years, each time promising to come to a meet, weather forcast not too good 90 mph winds torential rain, but what the heck seen all that before, called round to buxton opera house picked up 3 tickets for the circus then on to cloverfields, booked in we are with motor fun, jan replied your the only one thats come, so we still have not met you, but we had a fantastic weekend none the less, weather on sunday crisp / windy but very sunny, will try again soon to meet up, dee& paul

Sorry to hear no one joined you, and hope you had a good time all the same
The secret if there is one to a successfull meet is to give it a good few weeks publicity place it in the calender and make a commitment to be there if you have posted it, it will then follow, others will see who is attending and the numbers just grow
when posting a meet add the post code so folks can see just how far it is and a link to the site and brief description of whats to do and what the meet is about IE themed with a hobby, interest or pastime, somewhere to visit from the site, purely social, or what ever,
When no names appear as attendees the interest is usually sparse as demonstrated here

Sorry Paul and Dee but neither ourselves nor Blisters were aware that you planned on attending Buxton. Unfortunately it had to be cancelled due to illness and also central heating problems
Blisters did post that the meet was cancelled but obviously you didn't know about this.
What a shame, it would have been so nice to have met you.I hope we meet at a future get together:thumb:
