Oops, if it's GRP then I think Halfords do a repair kit with matting, resin etc for application to inside once correctly aligned.
After that, filler and sanding then painting.

Thank you Figaro,,I asked a dealer how much it would be for a replacement and was quoted approx. £450 plus postage costs for them to send for it...and the light fittings would have to be cut out..

I fixed mine using a couple of ways... My smash was really bad on both sides and had huge holes where it had fallen apart. I swear theses things are made of fine china

I held the crack together with electrical tape just to hold it and used a soldering iron to plastic weld it together, this makes a nice zipper like repair, its a bit disconcerting at first, but remember you are going to sand it flat and fill.

I went underneath the bumper and used resin and mat to re - inforce

I filled the crack repair (outside) with a plastic padding gel cote filler (search on amazon)

Sanded the whole thing down using wet and dry and sprayed with a white rattlecan from the usual hardware stores.

Result? Can't see the join!

Or get your local mobile smart repair guy in who should do a durable and correctly colour matched repair for around £200. This can vary depending on what region you live.

The plastic welding with a soldering iron will only work if its ABS if its GRP (you will be able to see the fibres in it) its just align it reinforce the back and refinish the front. If you take it off to do it make sure its not re-inforced on the back in a shape which won,t fit once you have finished (probably not too bad mine was the whole bumper and very flimsy) ........guess how I know!!!. I recon the materials won't cost more than £50 even if you get an aerosol of paint mixed to match.

I did a similar thing on my skirt, got quoted £450:eek:its not that difficult a job, you just need to take your time.As @The Wino said align it then 're inforce from behind.A little tip..drill 4 or 5 pilot holes an inch either side of the crack along it's length so that when you apply the repair paste from behind,it comes out through the holes & gives the repair more strength, also apply the filler in thin layers & allow about 1/2 hr between.layer.Got a couple of small marks to fill in otherwise job done.Repair kit sandpaper ,wet & dry & paint from Halfords £45 all in(y).

As above...using fibre glass mesh and resin. Works rally well. If you require the paint to match exactly..we used the local car body shop and they matched us perfectly.
all in all not too bad a finish!

If your are keeping the MH for a while I would suggest taking the panel of and take the part to a body repair specialist( as due to the size of MH it probably would not fit in the spray booth) who will then be able to repair it and blow in the paint job, then clear coat so you'll never notice the colour difference, plus you will have a lot longer lasting finish than a rattle spray can.

Thank you Bart..

doing a similar repair myself over this weekend. mine is ABS and internet search says to use the glue plumbers use to glue pipes, thickened up with some shreddings from these pipes. use mesh joint tape for plasterboard to reinforce joint. once its all reinforced from inside, use thickened glue of the outside then wet and dry and shouldn't need paint.

will try it anyway.

I did similar and used product called Plastex which worked very well, long story short, you put the 2 pieces together seal the underneath with tape, make a slight vee between the 2 halves, pour the white powder in then flood it with the liquide and it all melts into one. You would need to remove it use this method.

I would try some on a bit you won't see later first just to make sure it doesn't melt the original plastic otherwise you could end up with a slot meted out or a saggy bottom!!!
