Morning all

For those of you familiar with these makes, what order would you put them in overall in terms of build quality and/or reliability? 1 - 6 with 1 being best.

Pilote
Chausson
Fleurette/Florium
Rollerteam
Bailey
Burstner

Thanks!

I've been on here for quite a few years. I suspect 6 years ago people who had 6 year old vans were saying how good the quality was compared to new ones. The same 6 year old ones are now apparently paragons of virtue in terms of quality! I think people are very much biased to what they have which is pretty understandable as that's why they own it but it's not an impartial review.
Sadly I suspect that looking at which makes tend to be better is a bit of a pointless exercise as ones of the same make vary so much from one to another even when new. Add into the mix a few years of use / abuse and it's going to get pretty much of a lucky dip. I think when I buy again it's going to be a private sale and buy one that's not changed owner very often has a good service record and an owner that for some reason I trust.
I think I gave a impartial view, when( without looking back at posts,) the build quality is no where near car or truck build quality , and I stand by that mine for sure is not faultless, but never had a faultless van 😭

I don't think they ever will be car or truck build quality it's a totally different scale of manufacturing

I agree, but you would think you could shut the Habitation door without put waking the neighbours😎
You would think so. My point though was about the idea that they don't make them like they used to I'm not that sure thay ever did! I suppose the advantage of an older van is that a lot of the initial problems were someone elses although so was the manufacturers warranty ( whatever that's worth) and the warranty on the base vehicle.

He told me only yesterday Lennie that most dealers simply didn’t want it and all offered him £85k which was a £50k drop after a year.

He went back to the dealer where he purchased and they offered £105k against the Burstner but still a £30k drop after 12mths which is a bitter pill to swallow isn’t it.

TBH we’ve looked at Adria ourselves, lovely looking from the outside in our opinion but just too dark and gloomy when inside for us.

we’re sticking with our Rapido for the foreseeable now all, “and there’s been a lot”, of issues have been sorted. It’s been a tough 3yrs i’ll admit but we love it now 👍

Would I buy another Rapido - Yes

From the same dealer- Yes

Would I like to set fire to the Rapido Factory in Mayenne - Yes - everyday
our Adria is like a dental room so white and bright makes me feel like we are in an operating theatre :)

We’ve tried to find a love for a Super Sonic, both Merc and Fiat on a 7.8 and 8.9 mtr.

Dark flooring, furniture cabinetry and leather, without the lights on I needed my old miners lamp on so unfortunately not for us at all.

That made me think of our friends Le Voyager, everything was white and I mean everything

All the cabinetry was white, white leather seating, white sheepskin rugs on the floor and seats

Just too much white bling for us, what’s wrong with a nice mix of modern bright colours and fabrics/leathers, is it just us that doesn’t like all bright white or dull dark interiors 🤔
