Does anyone know if a U.K. Variety of this American heater can be purchased in the UK.
Also has anyone tried using a similar heater in their motorhome or caravan and are they any good ??
The heaters look like a mini super sur.
I'm looking into the possibility of using such a heater instead of our built in Truma blower heater as we always are off grid and due to the 12v blower on the Truma.

I would be bit concerned about the amount of water vapour produced. I have a catalytic "feature fire" at home and even in a big lounge diner it raises the humidity level in next to no time. I never use it.

I don't understand your problem Truma are very economical on electric power, once up to temerature they consume less than 1 amp.

Lenny it all depends on the van and the Outside temperature as to how much the heater and blower has to work.last time we used our heater of grid was last November in Ireland on the coast and it was COLD..lol , and i was worried about our batteries after a weeks usage of the heater ,while of grid with no solar at that time, just a B2Bcharger.
OFC next time out in the MH in cold weather we will be in a better position ,with now having 300W of solar.

Sooner have a catalytic heater.
No flame, needs a good air supply but very little ventilation.
Catalytic reaction produces heat.
Cheaper than the one in your link.

Amazon product ASIN B00NTY4CT4

Is this a full size heater the size of a super ser , or is it a mini heater the same size as the buddy heater ? as i would only have the space to store a small heater.

Sorry, Looks like it's full sized.
There is a smaller one on the same page at the bottom but it's only 1.5kw.

I meant in terms of a gas heater in an enclosed space. I have the same van and the Truma heating on gas is brilliant.

For not much more than the cost of those heaters you could fit another solar panel and another battery.

i already have the panels installed , i've just not been away in the cold to see how the batteries & solar cope with the heater blower going for hours on end , day after day.
I will not be buying or installing the likes of a buddy heater , until after i have made sure that i actually need it, atm its just a fact gathering exercise for me.
