Heads up to anyone who book pet friendly cabins for journeys to Spain ,Brittany ferry’s have opened up booking for next year. Just booked ours.

I've just got off the phone to BF and taken a load off my mind.

I've had a 'Non Amendable' Ticket with BF going back 9mths that, because of COVID
I've had to amend umpteen times, booking trips that I didn't want to take, just so the ticket continued to be 'In the Future'
Example: We were booked to go to France in September

They have now amended that trip plus another ferry in October so that we now have
our Winter Trip to Spain/Portugal holiday sorted.

Full marks to BF for continuing to understand the situation.

Just rebooked ours from January this year to next year and they now owe me money, didnt expect it to go down from what it cost to move it to September this year to January next year. I must admit however getting the refund actually to my card remains to be seen, I'm just happy not to have lost the booking to be honest.

I booked the new shop, Galicia, without consulting SWMBO which is normally a no-no but, on this occasion, it seems I've done the right thing. It doesn't get any better than this.

yep just booked the new ship Galicia for the 4th January Portsmouth to Santander and return on the 3rd April same route and ship and with a Commodore cabin both ways , a bit pricy though at £1140 and that's after the 10% discount .

we’re booked Plymouth to Bilbao on September 15th, what are our chances? Returning October 31st on eurotunnel.

Just in case we decide not to go to Greece had a look to Santander for 21st December with pet cabin and coming back 4 weeks later it came in at over £1600 probably worth joining the voyager club and getting a discount.

BF gave us a Commodore Cabin when we had to make an urgent mercy dash back to Blighty two years ago.

I've calculated over the years that the difference in price is not too relevant.
Expensive are: divorces, changing new cars frequently, losing money over houses, gambling or drink/drug issues.
We seldom eat in restaurants, don't fly often and very rarely have takeaways.

Oh, and we both worked many years and many hours in good jobs ;-)

I did/do all of the above but SWMBO looked after the kids and while she had
nothing better to do at home, she sewed extra long pockets into my trousers

He will not arrive in the eu until the 7th and will return from the eu on 5th so plenty of room

And the Galicia takes 32hrs to get to Spain so when it leaves on 6th Jan. it doesn't get to Santander until 8th

Booked my 2 trips next year at lunchtime. I already had my Schengen calculations which meant I lost out on my first trip by a bit from usual. Interestingly got through on the phone easily and got the Commodore cabin number I wanted, however the emailed paperwork had a minor error and I have been trying to get back on the phone since but always engaged!!

Well done Bobandfay. An absolute diamond for letting us all know. Used our refund voucher for 3rd. March 2022. Extra £74 but we have a pet friendly cabin this time. 11 months of excitement waiting but in the meantime we will enjoy the UK.

if you book a pet cabin there is an outside deck walking area, if a kennel there is an area near the kennels

Who said anything about winter. We have a crossing booked for October, however the boss doesnt think we should go, so looking at putting back a year.
