Hi everyone please bear with me !
Sorry I’m sure this has been asked umpteen times (and my maths is awful)
We had five weeks in France in March/ ending April 16th
We’d like to go again September 7th
Am I right thinking that if we reschedule for just two days later we can get our full 12 weeks ? If not, can we only get 7 weeks?
Gratefully,
Jackie x

It doesn’t work like that. For each day that you are in the zone from your 7 Sept date, one of your March/April dates fall out of the 180 day window. Consequently, you may go for your full 90 days if you so wish.

But, as denisejoe says, just use the Schengen Visa Calculator to enter ALL of your previous, and intended, future dates and any potential violation will be highlighted.

The 90/180 day rule is not a Brexit allowance, it applies to many other NON EU Countries. This is a Schengen Issue.

Also, be very wary of online Calculators. A lot of them give differing calculations with the same dates input.

As far as I know, there is no official calculator being offered by the EU/Shengen .

And again. I struggle to see what's so hard in simply using a calendar and counting back 180 days from the last day you intend to be in the EU. Any days spent in the EU during that time count towards your 90. If you have a printer or access to one, just choose something you like from this site and print one off and then it couldn't be easier . . . https://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/create.html?tpl=3&month=1

Here's one configured for one side of A4
