How long would you expect brake pads to last on a motorhome? Googled it and the RAC says anywhere from 25 to 60k miles.

One factor for us is we don't use toll roads but even though a lot of the roads to Benidorm are still motorways.

We've done 30k now so I'll have a look at them before our next departure. 👀

Depends hugely on driving style but 25k to 60k may not be far of the mark for most
When I was doing big car mileage I was getting about 80k if the discs didn't need changed first
Tend to use the brakes a bit more in the van
On a Maxi chassis so big pads and disc may help ware rate
A lot of vans may need changed sooner due to lining separating from backing plate

Anywhere on the continent you'll go through them twice as quick if not using toll roads. They love roundabouts, speed bumps and chicanes, all of which takes a toll (pun) on brakes (and suspension). One day I'll work out if avoiding tolls is actually cheaper in the long run ;)

Our's needed changing after 25k, mainly because we do a lot of touring in the mountainous areas of Europe. Brakes there take a hammering however much engine braking you use.

The front pads and discs on our van were changed at 40,000. The discs were noted to be badly scored on the MOT. They were changed as part of a service and they found the rear linings were coming away from the shoes.
It might not be high mileage but it wasn’t helped by the van being stood for nine months before we bought it.

I had a 2,2T empty automatic, mpv that when I got shot had done 80k on the same front pads & discs & pads still had 50% left & I'm the last of the late brakers. Quite amazed me.
