For ten years
Hi all just had bill for new front brake pads and discs fitted on my Fiat Ducato 2.8 £300 00 have I been robbed or is that an average price just want to know whether it is ok or to shoot myself . ? Please be gentle with me.

That seems more or less correct, the pads themselves are about £25 ex vat per pair, disks about £50-£60 a decent mechanic should have the job done in a couple of hours, so about £100.
It certainly isn't excessive in my opinion.

I just paid the kwik fit fitter £275 for the same job on my Volvo V70. Now I could have done the job myself by buying the parts, jacking the car up and rolling about on the ground a bit - but decided it was worth paying for someone else to do it for me!

Not a bad price if your not in a position to do them yourself. Recently did mine and the bolts that hold the calliper carrier on a f###ing tight, I had to heat the carrier with a blow lamp to undo them!

Just had mine done as well. £480 but that included 2 new front tyres as well which I believe were about £90 each..
