Still looking around Strasbourg but can't wait to get there.

There's plenty of shade on the pitches up at the top of the site. Not much down by the sea where we were. We just used the awning.

We used ACSI and paid extra for a bigger pitch. Not sure how much they'll be when you get there as they are going up in season. Same here at Krk.

We are at ACSI Camp Porto Sole - Vrsar - lovely big pitches, fantastic pool, bar, pizzeria, shop & bakery. Nice little beach and a nice walk to the village. 17€ you can't beat it. Looked at ACSI Vestar - was like a building site so glad we moved on

Yes, first time in Croatia. Loving it.

As did we last May.

It is probably the best holiday location we've ever been to. We just loved it there, and we will return.

We're at Bled and just had a few drinks with a Danish couple who recommended Porto Sole. Said they had two weeks there last year and really enjoyed it.
Are there many spare pitches?

Arrived at Camping Sirena, Novigrad. Loads of pitches spare and a very nice beach front.

Hardly any Brits here, if any. ACSI pitches nearly full so paid 11 euros a night extra to be closer to the sea on a large plot in the shade. Very nice.

Neither of us are sun lovers, so we were quite pleased to be pitched under the trees, in that next level up from the waterfront. There were 3 x Brit MHs, one of which was occupied by an Aussie couple.

We re down at Orebic, weather very warm down here, reaching 30 at midday. Starting to head back north today (slowly) but dont want it getting too cold.

btw, Ive noticed a tendency down in the south for the campsites to be a little careless with the euro exchange rate, so worth checking your bills.

The only thing about this site near Novigrad, Istria is that the sea is not as clear as I've been reading about. Tried snorkelling today and it's quite murky.

Anybody know if it's clearer anywhere else?

The sea was beautifully clear off the coast of Krk and Pag islands. I couldn't get over how clear blue the sea was.

Are you still at Novigrad ? Pitches still spare ? We are thinking of coming back on Saturday as we only had 2 nights there because of the noise.

Krk still looking fully booked. The queues to get in as we were coming out were jamming the whole road. Germany has got to be empty !

We were at Pula and it was clear on Saturday we had dolfins a couple of hundred meters out and the biggest star fish Janie had seen about 12 " across, and we have been to the Maldives twice.
But on Sunday it was crap so we moved on and arrived at lake bled last night in rain and flooded pitches, but today it's all dried up and hot. Bob.

It was raining when we left it on Tuesday Bob? Still got mud all over the step . Great bike ride round the lake though.

We were at Sirena Sun. 4 Jun left Wed a.m. to arrive here at Valkanela between Poreč and Vrsar.

On both sites we opted for the next rate up from ACSI. €29 per night at Sirena, but magnificent spot. Fantastic facilities. Now at Valkanela, one row back from beach at €20, beach row another €8 on top but we decided we preferred the shade. Again great pitch, great facilities.

Bit cooler now than we expected, spectacular thunderstorm last night.

P.S. Sea, from here, looks very clear. It's still too cold for me to get the snorkel on!
